Anna Mae Boggs

November 29, 1945 — November 5, 2023

On November 5, 2023, Anna Mae Boggs, a loving mother, grandmother, and devout Christian, passed away peacefully at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester. Born on November 29, 1945, in Oneida, Kentucky to the late Granville and Edna Coffey, Anna Mae embraced life with warmth, compassion, and a deep love for her family.

Anna Mae's journey was defined by the joy she found in taking care of her loved ones. As a dedicated homemaker, she poured her heart into creating a warm and nurturing environment for her children, Cynthia Yelverton (Clint) of Newton, Georgia, Terry Boggs of Owingsville, and Keith Boggs (Aimee) of Roseburg, Oregon. Her selflessness extended to her five grandchildren, Ashley Parker (Joseph), Bryant Yelverton (Brianna) Elijah Yelverton, Gabby Boggs and Will Boggs, five great grandchildren, Cypress Parker, Isla Parker, India Parker, Gunner Yelverton and Canyon Yelverton whom she cherished and adored.  Her brothers, Robert Coffey of Frenchburg, J.D. Coffey of Florida, Benny Coffey (Eda) of Florida, Troy Coffey of Gray Hawk and Raliegh Coffey of Gray Hawk, her sister, Doris Jackson of Richmond, Indiana.  Anna Mae's commitment to her family was unwavering, and her presence brought comfort and happiness to their lives.

In addition to her parents, Anna Mae was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Boggs, her brother, Raymond Coffey and an infant sister after birth.

Anna Mae's impact on others extended beyond the walls of her own home. Her warm smile, gentle nature, and genuine interest in others created a sense of connection and camaraderie wherever she went. In her spare time, Anna Mae enjoyed simple pleasures. Whether tending to her garden, cooking delicious meals for her family, or simply sharing laughter and stories at family gatherings, she was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones. She was a devoted Christian who avidly read her bible and prayed for others.  She found solace in nature, finding beauty in the smallest of details and finding peace in the tranquility it offered.
