Arthur Eugene Vanlandingham, 79, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday evening, January 29, 2017 at Fountain Circle Care and Rehabilitation. He was born January 16, 1938 in Bath County to the late Claude Vanlandingham, Sr. and Aileen Caskey Williams.

Arthur moved to Mt. Sterling three years ago from Winchester, he was of the Christian faith,  a retired press operator from G.M. and a United States Navy veteran.  He enjoyed mechanics, vegetable and flower gardening,  remodeling, camping, fishing and hunting.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include; his beloved wife of sixty years, Patricia Vanlandingham of Mt. Sterling; two sons, Eugene Vanlandingham of Mt. Sterling and Claude Vanlandingham of Lovelady, Texas; one daughter, Karen Cacciatore (Greg) of Grove City, Ohio; two sisters, Diane Ferguson (Christopher) of Lebanon, Indiana and Beverly Warren (Hanley) of Marion Indiana; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Claude Vanlandingham, Jr. and one sister Claudette Vanlandingham.

Funeral will be Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 2:00PM.  Visitation will be prior to the funeral from 12:00PM to 2:00PM, services will be at the Queen Street Christian Fellowship, 10 N. Queen St., Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.  Burial will follow at the Machpelah Cemetery.  Pastor Carlie Bellamy will be officiating.
