Ashton Faith Jones, a beloved daughter, mother, and dedicated nurse, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at UK Medical Center in Lexington. Born on June 12, 1986, in Morehead, Ashton embraced life with an unwavering spirit, always putting her family first. Her mantra was simple yet profound: "Family over everything." Throughout her life, Ashton exemplified this belief, working tirelessly to provide for her most treasured possession-her children.
Ashton was an exceptional registered nurse, earning her Associate's Degree from Maysville Community College and her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Morehead State University. Known for her compassion and dedication, she worked long hours in demanding shifts, always prioritizing the needs of her patients and family.
A vibrant personality, Ashton was the life of every gathering. She loved to celebrate, whether hosting parties or attending those of friends and family. Her joy for life extended beyond social events; she was passionate about photography, capturing precious moments and memories with a keen eye. She also had a flair for shopping, often showcasing her talent for finding great deals. Travel was another love; it offered her the chance to explore new cultures and experiences, enriching her life and the lives of those around her.
Ashton is survived by her loving children, Jayton Tunstill, Jaimari Tunstill, King Moss, and Jakiah Jones; father, J.T. Trumbo; mother, Thelma Jones; siblings, Michelle Douglas, Benji Stout, Kody Trumbo; friend and father to children, Evan Moss. Her family will carry forward her legacy of love, laughter, and dedication.
Ashton is preceded in death by two of her children, Malcome Moss and Gabriel Moss, and her sister, KaShawn Botts.
A memorial service celebrating Ashton's life will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 12:00PM at the First Church of God.
Ashton Faith Jones will be remembered not only for her caring nature and steadfast commitment to her family but also for the joy she brought to everyone who knew her. Her spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
