Betty Jean (Parks) Lee

September 19, 1936 — June 6, 2022

Betty Jean Parks Lee, 85, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Monday morning, June 6, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  She was born September 19, 1936 in Montgomery County to the late Edgar Thomas Sr. and Flossie Cannon Goodpaster Parks.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, a member of the First Church of God, and a wonderful homemaker.  She was an excellent cook and enjoyed; watching her sons and grandchildren play sports, Cincinnati Reds baseball, UK basketball, and camping but greatest of all she loved her family and will be dearly missed by all of them.

Betty is survived by her three sons; Bret Lee (Kathy) of Georgetown, Kevin Lee (Becky) of Mt. Sterling and Red Lee (Kathleen Schutter) of Mt. Sterling; seven grandchildren; Whitney Lee of Jeffersonville, Tyler Lee (Mindy) of Georgetown, Drew Lee (Bethany) of Lexington, MacKenzie Neal (Weston) of Georgetown, Sam Lee of Mt. Sterling, Dalton Lee (Aubree) of Grafton West Virginia and Laikyn Lee of Mt. Sterling; seven great grandchildren; Reazon Lee, Max Lee, Nolan Lee, Calvin Neal, Reign Alex Lee, Warner Neal and Baker Lee; sister; Janet Scott (Johnny) of Bloomington, Indiana.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband; Alex "Eck" Lee; brother; Edgar Parks, Jr. and sister; Hazel Parks West.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Thursday, June 9, 2022.  Visitation will be prior from 10:00AM - 12:00PM.  Both will be held at First Church of God 1051 Camargo Road, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.  Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery.  Pastor Frank Curtis, Pastor David Dooley and Pastor Harold Goodpaster (Uncle) will be officiating.

Pallbearers: Whitney Lee, Tyler Lee, Drew Lee, MacKenzie Neal, Sam Lee, Dalton Lee and Laikyn Lee.

Honorary Pallbearers: Reazon Lee, Max Lee, Nolan Lee, Calvin Neal, Reign Alex Lee, Warner Neal and Baker Lee.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Betty Lee to the First Church of God Backpack Program.  1051 Camargo Road Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353.
