Billy Dean Deskins, 71, of Winchester died on June 10, 2019 at UK Healthcare in Lexington. He was born in Pike County on March 12, 1948 to the late Bill Deskins and Piney Bishop.
Billy was of the Christian Faith, worked as a barber most of his life and moved to the area fourteen years ago. He had a larger than life personality that ensured he never met a stranger. He enjoyed storytelling, being a jokester and UK Basketball. Billy was a family man and he will be dearly missed by them.
He is survived by three sons Sean Deskins (Sabrina) of Pikeville, David Marinaro of Lexington and Mark Marinaro of Pikeville; three daughters Tandy Deskins (Johnny Horn, Jr.) of Richmond, Penny Deskins (Bryan Hendrix) of Mt. Sterling and Cheryl Kyser (Scott) of Cincinnati; three brothers Chris Deskins (Diane) of Pikeville, Ronnie Deskins (Cindy) of OH and Denny Ray Deskins (Betty Lou) of Ashland; two sisters Betty Flannery (Bruce) and Susie Dixon both of IN and nine grandchidren.
In addition to his parents Billy was preceded in death by his brother Tom Deskins and sister Joanne Adams.
