It is with deep sadness that the family of Bobbie Sue Ledford Arnold announces her passing on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on March 10, 1943, in Mt. Sterling, to the late Reid and Oma Richardson Ledford. Bobbie Sue was a lifelong resident of the town she cherished. She was a source of love and inspiration to all who knew her.
Her spirit was most vibrant when surrounded by family, particularly at NASCAR races, where she cherished the moments spent with her late husband and loved ones. A passionate UK basketball fan, she often filled her home with spirited discussions about her beloved team. In her leisure time, Bobbie Sue found solace in her garden, nurturing her plants as lovingly as she did her family. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren, the true lights of her life. In her final days, Bobbie Sue held onto the hope of meeting her great-great-grandson, Klae. Her greatest wish was fulfilled when she welcomed him into the world, leaving an indelible mark of love on his life.
Bobbie Sue is survived by daughters, Kimberley Culbertson and Paula Murphy (Jim Jones); grandchildren, Brittany Jackson (Adam Flanders) and Morgan Culbertson (Ashlea); great grandchildren, Morgan Lawwill (Jake), Dawson Jackson, Kayley Jackson, Preston Jackson, Riley Jackson, Hannah Jackson, Riley Flanders, Mollie Culbertson, Marley Culbertson; great-great grandson, Klae Lawwill; sisters, Millie Utterback, Brenda Bowen, and Claudette Caudill; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Tyree; special friends, Candi Howard, Shayne and Leigh Parker, Bonnie Neal, and Teresa Joseph.
In addition to Bobbie Sue's parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty years, Morgan Lacy Arnold; siblings, Lynn Wagh, Hank Adams, David Adams, Betty Ledford, and Frances Hatton.
