Brenda Gail (Hutson) Sorrell

February 12, 1962 — September 22, 2017

Brenda Gail Hutson Sorrell, 55, of Jeffersonville, died Friday evening, September 22, at her residence.  She was born February 12, 1962 in Mt. Sterling.

Brenda was a Montgomery County native, member of the Macedonia Baptist Church and retired after twenty-three years driving a school bus for the Montgomery County school system.  She enjoyed flower & vegetable gardening, yard sales, auctions, antiques and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.  She'll be dearly missed by her family, church family and friends.

Survivors include; her beloved husband of forty years, Gary Sorrell of Jeffersonville; two daughters, Janet Sorrell of Jeffersonville and Beverly Sorrell of Mt. Sterling; one son, Ryan Sorrell of Mt. Sterling; her mother, Reva Fritts Iker of Jeffersonville; three brothers, Billy Hutson (Ethel) of Texas, Dewey Hutson of Mt. Sterling and Floyd Iker (Della) of Owingsville; one sister, Virginia Iker of Irvine; six grandchildren, Tanner Sorrell, Morgan Sorrell, Cailen Vice, Griffin Sorrell, Gannon Sorrell and Asher Sorrell.

She is preceded in death by her father, Utah Hutson; two brothers, Jimmy Hutson and Tommy Crowe.

Private Funeral will be Wednesday, September 27, 2017. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, both services at the Full Gospel Word of god Church on KY Hwy 599 in Jeffersonville.  Burial will follow the funeral at the Martin Cemetery on Brenda Lane in Jeffersonville.  Pastor Kevin Strausbaugh will be officiating.

Pallbearers: Ryan Sorrell, Josh Burke, Tanner Sorrell, Duncan Toy, Mike Cockrell, Austin Willoughby and Hank Dunn.
