Carl Williams
February 16, 1943 — October 10, 2016
Carl Williams, 73, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, October 10, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 16, 1943 to the late Edna Arnett and Hershel Williams.
Carl moved from Breathitt County to Montgomery County in 1975, he was a United States Army veteran, a member of the Emanuel Baptist Church and a retired carpenter with Engle Construction in Lexington. He enjoyed hunting, camping, riding four wheelers, flying planes, vegetable gardening and bluegrass music. He will be dearly missed by his family, church family and friends.
Survivors include; his beloved wife of fifty years, Carolyn Sue Williams of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Parker Williams (Nora Alice) of Breathitt County; one sister, Mazie Jones of Breathitt County and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Williams.
Pastor Lloyd Latimer will be officiating.
Pallbearers: Tony Williams, Walton Williams, Johnny Marlowe, Jonathan Marlowe, Tommy Reed and James Higgins
Honorary Pallbearers: R.J. Ratliff, Terry Williams, Charlie Peyton and Tyler Reed
Burial will follow in Williams Cemetery in Magoffin County.
