Carla Jo Kennedy

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carla Jo Kennedy, born on October 24, 1958, in Washington DC. Carla peacefully departed on August 6, 2024, at St. Joseph Mount Sterling, at the age of 65. Carla was the beloved daughter of the late Robert Garrett and Mary Bennett Fisher.

 Carla was a devoted caretaker in the health care industry and lived a life rooted in faith as a Christian. She found joy in the simpler things in life, spending her days crocheting, cooking, baking, playing stimulating games, dancing, traveling, fishing, vegetable gardening, canning, and boat riding. Carla will forever be remembered for her compassionate spirit and unwavering dedication to her family.

 She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness and will be dearly missed by her surviving sons, Jose Munoz, James Garrett, and Carlis Munoz; grandson, Jordan Munoz; brother, Garland Garrett; sister Connie Hawkins, and nieces, Kelly Ragan and Mary Aguilar. 

 In addition to her parents, Carla was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Kennedy as well as three brothers and two sisters.
