Carole Jean Waterfield Kimbrell, 90, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Friday night, December 17, 2021 at Windsor Care Center, Mt. Sterling. She was born on August 12, 1931 in Georgetown Ohio.
Carole was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, a member of Rolling Hills Church of Christ, a retired retail worker and a Kentucky Colonel. Carole lived her life through a strong faith in the Lord and her love shined through all she did. She enjoyed; working at Rolling Hills Bible Camp, quilting, visiting Renfro Valley, and the time she would spend with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and Darrell's dogs. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Carole is survived by her son; Darrell Kimbrell (Brenda) of Mt. Sterling; two grandchildren; Brian Kimbrell (Michelle) of Lexington and Diane Kimbrell Goldthorpe (Russ Kaelin) of Lexington; three great grandchildren; Kendal, Taylor and Braxton Goldthorpe of Lexington; sister; Ann Kimmerly of Cincinnati, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; very special friend; Pam McGinnis of Mt. Sterling; her grand dog; Alanis.
Carole was preceded in death by her husband; Paul Kimbrell.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00PM on Monday, December 27, 2021. Visitation will be prior from 10:00AM - 12:00PM. Both will be held at Rolling Hills Church of Christ. Committal will follow at Machpelah Cemetery. Brother Dan Murphy and Brother Jerry Carmichael will be officiating.
Pallbearers: Earl Clay Gilvin, Eddie Ingram, Doug Mansfield, David Eads, Bert Stephens, Mike Donaldson.
Honorary Pallbearers: Jim and Pam McGinnis, Jim Welch, Ken Gulley and Doug Trent.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Carole's memory to Rolling Hills Bible Camp, 125 Rolling Hills Drive, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353
