Carolyn Trent, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the age of 77, at her residence. Born on May 21, 1949, in Mt. Sterling, to the late Carl Jr. and Edith Puckett Trent. Carolyn was a lifelong resident of the area, with a cherished 15-year chapter spent living in Ohio.
Carolyn dedicated much of her working life to retail, proudly serving at Wal-Mart, where her kindness and helpful nature left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.
An individual of faith, Carolyn found strength in her Christian beliefs, which guided her through life. She was an avid crafter, indulging in her passions for quilting, crochet, jewelry making, and baking. Carolyn had a profound love for animals and nature, often spending time fishing, and she found joy in visiting the ocean and mountains, where she could reconnect with the beauty of the world.
Her thoughtful and quiet personality made her a cherished figure in her community, where she was actively involved with Warm Up Montgomery County and Silver Threads and Golden Needles, organizations close to her heart. Carolyn was a remarkable mom and friend whose supportive spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Ross; grandchildren, Michael Sturgill and Carolyn Edger; great grandchildren, Abigail Edger, Noah Edger, and Addison Edger; great-great grandchild, Tate Edger; siblings, Janice Trent, Leslie "Bear" Trent (Teresa Moody), and Cheryl Trent Jolly (Ricky).
