Cas Stephen Grass, Sr., 67, of Jeffersonville, died Tuesday morning, June 21, 2016 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. He was born July 1, 1948 in Etty, Kentucky to the late Charles and Laura Fleming Grass.

Cas moved to Montgomery County sixteen years ago from Paintsville, he was a United States Army veteran, a member of Means Community Miracle Church and retired from P&R Trucking in Camargo.  Previously, Cas was a deputy sheriff in Paintsville and also the Montgomery County Constable.  He had a big personality; he was funny, never met a stranger and he loved serving our community and helping people.  Cas enjoyed deer, rabbit and squirrel hunting, also, loafing with his friends at Quick Stop in Jeffersonville.  He will be dearly missed by his family, church family and friends.

Survivors include; his wife of forty-eight years, Brenda Nester Grass of Jeffersonville; two sons, Shawn Grass (Kathy) and Cas Grass, Jr. (Jessica), both of Jeffersonville; two daughters, Stephanie Kelly of Jeffersonville and Serena Hall (James) of Winchester; five brothers, Jerry Grass of Morehead, Mike Grass (Carrie) of West Liberty, Stevie Joe Grass, Conneil Grass (Marilyn) and Eric Grass, all of Van Lear, Kentucky; two sisters, Sharon Barron (Charlie) of Nicholasville and Sharla Spencer (Bobby) of Van Lear, Kentucky; fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Charles Grass and one brother, Charles Grass.

Pastor Tommy Evans will be officiating.
