Charlene Hennies, 70, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at Halifax Health Medical Center, Daytona Beach, Florida. She was born on November 20, 1951 in Mt. Sterling, KY to Ireland and Monnie Collins Kemplin.
Charlene had been a resident of Vero Beach, Florida for the last fifteen years, following her move from Lexington, Kentucky. She was of the Christian faith and current owner and operator of Charlies Salon at Orchid. She enjoyed; flower gardening and spending time with her grandson, Taylor and her great granddaughter, Ellie. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Charlene is survived by her son; Tim Maloney (Ruby) of Jeffersonville; grandson; Chester "Taylor" Maloney (Rachel Gray) of Georgetown; great granddaughter; Eleanor "Ellie" Maloney of Georgetown; three brothers; Timmy Bruce Kemplin (Becky) of Owingsville, Willie Clay Kemplin of South Carolina and Johnny Robert Kemplin of Jeffersonville; three sisters; Frances Reed of Florida, Freida Ann Byrd of Mt. Sterling and Susan Kemplin of Lexington; friend; Jerry Chaney; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her two brothers; Wells Kemplin and Gene Kemplin; two sisters; Barbara Kaye Perry and Bonnie Jewell Whitfield.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Monday, December 13, 2021. Visitation will be prior from 10:00AM - 12:00PM. Both will be held at Hope First Church of God 10246 Hope-Means Road Hope, Kentucky. Interment will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Lovely-Amburgey Cemetery, Jeffersonville. Pastor Glen Sizemore will be officiating.
