Chester Profitt

Chester Profitt, passed away peacefully at the age of 75 on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Born on January 29, 1950, to the late Charlie and Elsie Patrick Profitt, in Ravenna, Kentucky. Chester lived a life marked by genuine warmth and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures that life had to offer.

Chester loved to junk appliances, but his true passion lay in his love for collecting antiques. He found joy in exploring auctions and flea markets, particularly in his cherished collection of cast iron skillets, each a testament to both craftsmanship and history. His enthusiasm for antiques reflected a broader curiosity about the world around him.

A proud Air Force veteran, Chester often reminisced about his time in Okinawa, Japan, where he served in the military. His stories were filled with rich detail and a fondness for the experiences that shaped him, allowing those who listened to share in his adventures. Chester's welcoming spirit meant that he never met a stranger; he simply encountered people he had not yet had the pleasure of knowing.

Chester is survived by his beloved siblings: Angela Rogers (James), Margie Fielder (Jim), Sharon Frazier, Kathy Cooper (Guy Bosworth), Staci Hymer (Willie), Lucille Estes, James Profitt (Juanita), and Lanny Glenn Profitt; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; host of cousins, and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of calling him family and friend.

In addition to his parents, Chester is preceded in death by his siblings, Michael "Farmer Jack" Profitt, Lorene Cornett, and Barbara Wise; 4 nephews; 3 nieces.

A Celebration of Life service will be Sunday, June 8, 2025 at 2:00PM at the Knowton Church of God, 5000 Furnace Road, Stanton, Kentucky. Kenny Wasson will be officiating.
