Clara Burns Grubb, 96, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, December 17, 2012 at her residence. She was born May 2, 1916, in Hazard to the late Roscoe and Nancy Jane Carmack Burns.
Clara moved to Montgomery County forty-five years ago from Ohio. Clara was a member of Jeffersonville Assembly of God. She dearly loved her family and her church family.
Survivors include; one son, Kenneth Grubb (Donna) of Mt. Sterling; two daughters, Maudie Lykins (Winford) of Jeffersonville and Bernice Parker (Bill) of Jeffersonville; one sister, Laura Gibson of Cincinnati, Ohio; twenty-one grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Judy Grubb of Hamilton, Ohio.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Horsie Grubb; two sons, Forster Grubb and Earl Grubb; five brothers, Earl Burns, David Burns, August Burns, Burton Burns, and Paul Burns; two sisters, Lucille Cole, and Virda Campbell; one grandchild, Sherry Brinkman and her husband, David; two great grandchildren, Jessica Lykins and Sheena Saylor; two sons-in-law, Bill Parker and Hershell Gibson.
Funeral will be Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 12:00PM at Jeffersonville Assembly of God. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Jeffersonville Assembly of God with Pastor Robbie Conn officiating. Burial will follow in Parker-Grubb Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
Pallbearers: Eddie Grubb, Adam Grubb, Sandra Gibson, Nicole Parker, Joe Gibson, and Tony Parker.
