Dale Leon Kunz, 71, of Mt. Sterling, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Born in Harper, Kansas on December 28, 1954, to his late parents, David and Erma Jenkinson Kunz. Dale was a proud resident of Montgomery County for the past 39 years, where he established his life and deep-rooted connections in the community.

Dale possessed a passion for technology that translated into a fulfilling career as an I.T. Manager. He found joy not only in his professional pursuits but also in his personal interests, including traveling to new places and indulging in his love for computer games. As an avid tinkerer with computers, he was often happiest when he was engaged in a project that sparked his creativity and technical expertise.

Dale's family was at the center of his universe. He cherished his beloved late wife, Michelle Riemann Kunz who was his everything. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. He is survived by his caring sister, Naomi Imhoff; sister-in-law, Shannon Kunz, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; host of other family members and many special family friends.

In addition to his late parents and wife, Dale is preceded in death by his siblings, Victor Crowl, Ramona Crowl Carroll, and Danny Kunz.

A devout man of the Christian faith, Dale embodied kindness and compassion in all his interactions. His spirit, unwavering loyalty, and warm sense of humor will forever be remembered by those who loved him.

In celebration of Dale's life will be announced soon. All who knew him are invited to join in honoring his memory and sharing stories of the joy he brought to our lives.

Dale Leon Kunz will be deeply missed but his legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. May he rest in peace.
