Danny "Tank" Berryman

Danny “Tank” Berryman, 68, of Mt. Sterling died Saturday, June 22, 2019, at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. He was born in Mt. Sterling on March 30, 1951, to the late Billy and Mae Berryman.

Tank was a native of Mt. Sterling and a member of Gateway Christian Church. Along with his wife Julie, he owned and operated Berryman’s Tastee Treat since 1985. He was a Kentucky Allstate defensive lineman for the Mt. Sterling High School Trojan’s Football Team in 1968. Tank graduated from Georgetown College in 1974 and earned a Master’s Degree from Morehead State University. Tank was a devoted family man and loved his employees and community. His willingness to help others was endless and he will be dearly missed by his family, friends and community.

He is survived by his loving wife, Julie Berryman of Mt. Sterling, a son, Bryan Kyle Berryman of Mt. Sterling, a brother, Greg Berryman of Phoenix, Arizona, a sister Jan Coleman of Cincinnati, Ohio, and two grandchildren, Lilyrose Kimberly Berryman and Kole Griffin Berryman both of Mt. Sterling. In addition Tank is survived by several nieces and nephews, special granddaughters Emily and Carli, and his Berryman’s Tastee Treat family.

Fifteen years ago Tank's world was forever changed due to the tragic loss of his daughter Kimberly Ann Berryman.  In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his brother Melvin Berryman.

There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial service on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 11:00AM.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 5:00PM - 8:00PM.  Both will take place at Gateway Christian Church where Pastor Bill Kilgore and Pastor Grant Cannoy will be officiating.
