David "Peanut" Davis

David "Peanut" Davis, beloved husband, father, grandfather, devoted brother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2023, at Life Care Center, Morehead Kentucky.  He was born on June 23, 1956, in Grundy, VA, to the late Clyde and Avie Shortridge Davis.

David's unwavering dedication to his craft began in the construction industry, where he excelled as a Guardrail & Fencing expert. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, and strong work ethic, David took pride in his work, ensuring the safety and security of countless communities throughout his career. David also enjoyed many hobbies, including mushroom hunting, fishing, working and spending time as a soundman in a band. David's remarkable journey touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. With heavy hearts, we celebrate the extraordinary life of a kind-hearted soul who left an indelible mark on the world around him.

David is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Adams Davis; son, Tyler Davis (Dolly) of Frenchburg; daughters, Sandy Conners of Frenchburg and Amber Davis of Ezel; seven grandchildren and two great grand children; brothers, Dean Davis of Frenchburg, Beaver Davis (Susie) of Jeffersonville, Bill Davis of Frenchburg and Dumpy Davis of Salt Lick; sisters Subbie Wilder of Owingsville, Marsha Williams (Ron) of Jeffersonville.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his grandson, Jaxton Conley; brother, Shorty Davis and sisters, Trish Skaggs and Ethel Henderson.
