Don Merrill Hinds
June 14, 1933 — March 9, 2016
Don Merrill Hinds, 82, of Means, died Wednesday evening, March 9, 2016 at his residence. He was born June 14, 1933 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Davey and Edith Dragoo Hinds.
Don moved to Means in 1972 from Georgetown, Kentucky, he was a United States Navy veteran, retired from the Bluegrass Army Depot as a certified professional logistician and he received his Masters from the University of Missouri. Don was a member and past president of the Lions Club, he enjoyed animals, hunting and fishing, cars, farming, old country music, telling stories and most of all, spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; his wife Betty Hinds of Means; two sons, Brad Hinds of Means and Rodger Hinds of Lexington; one daughter, Valorie Furman (Rick) of New Haven, Kentucky; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his baby daughter, Duranis T. Hinds.
