Donald Jerry Thompson, Jr.

Donald Jerry Thompson, Jr., 61, of Mt. Sterling passed away Monday evening, October 17, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born March 8, 1961 in Lexington, Kentucky to Jerry, Sr. and Ruth Black Thompson.

Donnie has been a resident of Montgomery County since 1999, following his move from Jessamine County.  He was of the Christian faith and was a semi truck driver.  Donnie was an avid sports fan and history buff, he enjoyed; riding and collecting racing motorcycles, classic cars, grilling, enjoying nature and taking scenic rides.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Donnie is survived by his loving wife; Stacy Pruitt Thompson of Mt. Sterling; son; Wes Thompson of Wilmore; three daughters; Aubrey Thompson Wade of Lexington, Ashley Thompson of Mt. Sterling and Alison Thompson of Mt. Sterling; grandson; Wes Thompson of Somerset; parents; Jerry Thompson, Sr. and Ruth Black Thompson of Venice, Florida; brother; Greg Thompson of Denver, Colorado.
