Faye (Williams) Gross

August 24, 1933 — April 30, 2021

Faye Williams Gross, 87, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.   She was born in Lee County, Kentucky on August 24, 1933 to the late Preston and Retta Rowland Williams.

Faye moved to Montgomery County fifty-five years ago  from Dayton, Ohio.  She was a central supply technician and dedicated forty years working at Mary Chiles Hospital.  Faye enjoyed; camping, flower gardening, she was an avid reader and a wonderful cook.  After her retirement she spent many hours as a private care sitter for the sick.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Faye is survived by four sons; Jimmy Gross of Mt. Sterling, Ricky Gross of Mt. Sterling, Doug Gross of Georgia and Rob Gross (Lauren) of Mt. Sterling; two daughters; Patty Williams of Sharpsburg and Melissa Pisino of Owingsville; five grandchildren; Sondra Frederick, Amanda Haney, Brittany Clem (Jacob), Elizabeth Vice and Brandon Gross; several great grandchildren; one sister; Lorraine Stamper of Jeffersonville; special friend, Rodney Carpenter.

In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her brother; Harold Williams; three sisters; Leona Sisson, Louise Caldwell and Linda Nott.
