Fred A. Williams

Fred A. Williams, 79, of Sharpsburg, died Saturday morning, August 15, 2015, at St. Joseph Mt. Sterlng. He was born September 11, 1935 in Bethel, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Sarah Ledford Williams.
Fred, a Bath County native, honorably served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He resided in Lexington for many years working for IBM until his retirement. While living in Lexington, he renovated older homes and volunteered for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America as well as Habitat for Humanity.
Survivors include; one sister, Lida Ray Routt of Sharpsburg; five nephews, Harold Ray Routt (Pam) of Mt. Sterling, Steve Routt of Sharpsburg, Ray Robertson (Stephanie) of Mt. Sterling, Scott Robertson (Mary) of Matlacha, Florida, Tom Robertson (Cheryl) of Charlotte, North Carolina.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Robertson and a nephew, Dick Robertson.
