Hannah Kaye Simmons Pierson, passed away at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on January 29, 1949, in Mayfield, Kentucky, to the late Paul Simmons and Martha Hannah Simmons Smith. Throughout her life, she devoted herself to her family and was a dedicated homemaker, nurturing her sons, Bobby Henry and Terry Richards, with unwavering love and support.

A faithful member of the Slate Creek Church of God, Hannah's Christian faith was a cornerstone of her life. She embodied compassion and cared deeply for those around her, volunteering for numerous causes and finding joy in supporting her community. Hannah had a zest for life that was infectious; she cherished the great outdoors and loved spending time fishing, riding side-by-sides in the woods, and taking leisurely country cruises around the lakes. Her passion for nature was matched only by her enthusiasm for family gatherings, where she could often be found playing corn hole or showcasing her culinary skills as a good cook.

An avid sports fan, Hannah held a special place in her heart for UK basketball and had a love for NASCAR, attending numerous races and celebrating the thrill of competition. She also enjoyed the soothing art of crocheting and found fulfillment in traveling to new places, always eager to create special memories with loved ones.

Hannah's warmth, caring nature, and spirited personality will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we reflect on her life, we are reminded of the love she shared and the laughter she brought into the world.

Hannah is survived by her sons, Terry Richards and Bobby Henry; grandchildren, Ariel Richards and Nicholas Richards; sister, LoAnn O'Bryan.
