Harry "Bush" Shoemaker

January 21, 1944 — February 22, 2020

Harry "Bush" Shoemaker, 76, of Mt. Sterling died February 22, 2020 at VA Medical Center in Lexington.  He was born in Mt. Sterling on January 21, 1944 to the late Walter Scott and Audie Mae Vice Shoemaker.

Bush was a graduate of Mt. Sterling High School and worked in retail grocery at Kroger and Manuel's Grocery in Bath County.  He is a United States Air Force Veteran and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by one brother, Bill Shoemaker (Ruth Ann) of Jeffersonville; one sister, Eunice Whalen of Maysville; three stepdaughters, Joan Norris of Lexington, Vern Deim (John) of Frenchburg and Debbie Osborne (Robert) of Lake Butler, Florida and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bush was preceded in death by his loving wife Lorena Mae Sexton Shoemaker; one brother, Scott Shoemaker, Jr. and two sisters, Betty Jane Ensor and Lois Ann   Shoemaker.

There will be a Memorial Service held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 1:00PM.  Visitation will be prior from 12:00PM-1:00PM.  Both will be held at Coffman Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Lowell Rice officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Owingsville First Church of God at PO Box 100, Owingsville, Kentucky 40360.
