Herbert "Herb" Curtis White, 89, of Mt. Sterling, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at St. Joseph Bluegrass Hospice in Lexington. He was born June 5, 1929 in Anawalt, West Virginia to the late Raymond and Mabel Newton White.
"Herb" relocated to Mt. Sterling in 1970 from Virginia and was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. He retired from both the US Air Force and Rockwell International. "Herb" enjoyed; traveling, morning walks and helping others. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include; two sons Gary Sumpter (Sandy) of California and Clint Willoughby (Brittany) of Mt. Sterling, one sister Delores White Parrent of Virginia, six grandchildren GiGi Sumpter, Jessie Sumpter and Jermey Sumpter of California, Camron Willoughby, Madalyn Willoughby and Baylee Setters of Mt. Sterling and the Drennen family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Frances Drennen White, brothers Ernest White, Raymond White, David White and Jack White, sisters Virgina Johnson, Margaret Harris, Betty Hughes and Bradley Dean Everett.
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 10:00AM, visitation Monday, June 25, 2018 5:00PM-8:00PM, both located at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Mt. Sterling, KY. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery in Mt. Sterling. Father Frank Brawner will officiating.
Pallbearers: Clint Willoughby, Camron Willoughby, John Wenz, Perry Howard, Mark Buttry, Austin Johnson, Ethan Johnson and Billy Drennen.
