Herbert "Herbie" Anthony (Tony) Goins

Herbert "Herbie" Anthony (Tony) Goins, 58, of Clay City, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Harlan Kentucky on August 9, 1964 to Herbert and Phyllis Lewis Goins.

Herbie was a Veteran of the United States Army, of the Christian faith and enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, as well as telling everyone about Jesus, his Lord and Savior.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends alike.

Herbie is survived by his wife, Kelley J. Goins of Columbus, Indiana; son, Joshua M. Goins (Hayli) of Reddington, Indiana; daughter, Mackenzie Land (Zach) of Columbus, Indiana; six grandchildren; mother, Phyllis L. Goins of Clay City; brother, Terry R.  Goins of Stanton; two sisters; Patricia "Annie" Cambell (Jim) of Stanton and Shelley Johnson (Jason) of Stanton.

Herbie was preceded in death by his father Herbert Goins.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, July 21, 2023.  Visitation will be held prior from 12:00PM – 2:00PM.  Both will be held at Shiloh United Methodist Church 2652 Campton Road Stanton, Kentucky 40380.

An open house celebration of life will take place from 2:00PM -4:00PM on Sunday July 23, 2023 at the home of James and Nancy Mahoney 5851 West Ohio Ridge Road, Columbus, Indiana. A private burial will follow.
