James Anthony Lumpkins

James Anthony Lumpkins, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the age of 54. Born on September 24, 1971, in Irvine, Kentucky, he spent his life exemplifying dedication, kindness, and a deep love for family and friends.

James moved to Montgomery County three years ago from Elizabethtown, where he had long established himself as a knowledgeable and hard-working Maintenance Superintendent. For 35 years, he passionately dedicated himself to industrial maintenance, sharing his expertise and wisdom by teaching at two colleges. His commitment to education enriched his students'.

A faithful practitioner of Christianity, James was known for his warm heart and generosity. He had a remarkable gift for showing kindness to every stranger in need, embodying the values he held dear. He cherished the great outdoors and found immense joy sitting in Lump's lounge, with his family and friends.

James is survived by his loving wife, Christy Lumpkins, cherished children and grandchildren. Together, they will carry forward the love and memories that he instilled in their lives.

James is preceded in death by his father, Stanley Lumpkins.
