James Douglas Webb, passed away by heart-attack in his home in North Middletown, Kentucky, on Monday, June 16, 2025, at the age of 67. Doug was born on November 20, 1957, in Paris, to the late Marshall and Pearl Webb.
Doug was a loyal man. Loyal to both his family, friends, and his work at the Bourbon County Road Department. A natural craftsman, he excelled in working on cars and was always giving a helping hand to those he saw that needed it. His kinesthetic intelligence allowed him to touch and feel his way through puzzles and challenges, making him the go-to man for solving issues mechanically.
It is an understatement that Doug enjoyed time with his granddaughter, who he lovingly called "sprout." He was also a talented pinball player, holding records on numerous machines, and would take sprout to the arcades where they would bowl, watch movies, eat, and play together. His love of gardening brought him joy and the satisfaction of tending to the earth. He and sprout would till and grow a garden together every year.
Doug leaves behind a legacy of hard work and commitment to family. He was with his beloved wife Sandi over the course of 50 years. Survived by Sandi, his twin sons, James Lee Webb and Marshall Alan Webb (Emily Robertson), his granddaughter, sprout, Madeleine Webb; siblings, Marsha Webb and Larry Webb (Kaye); several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Doug is preceded in death by his two brothers, Walter "Charlie" Webb and Pierce "Sugar Doll" Webb.
A private family ceremony to honor Doug's life will be held at a later date.
Doug will be deeply missed, and his hard-earned lessons of toughness will always be wrought by the love he had for his country. He was a great American.
