James "Pops" Henry Ritchie

James "Pops" Henry Ritchie, 74, of Paris, died Saturday,  January 23, 2021, at Harborview Dover Manor in Georgetown.  He was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky on March 24, 1946 to the late Currency "C.M." and Pinkie Beach Ritchie.

James was a native of Bourbon County and loved to use his skills as a carpenter.  He also enjoyed; farming, fishing, going to auctions, flea markets and yard sales but most of all, spending time with his family.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

James was survived by his previous wife/life-long friend, Mazie Bryant Caskey of Paris; three sons, Bo Ritchie (Rhonda), Lee Ritchie (Barbara) and Scotty Pryor (Christina) all of Paris; two daughters, Kim Turner (Thomas) of Cynthiana and Candy Hardy (Alex) of Paris; fifteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; his mother, Pinkie Beach Ritchie of Paris; four brothers, Nick Ritchie (Merl) of Winchester, David Ritchie of Paris, Billy Ritchie (Sandra) of Lexington and Robbie Ritchie (Grace) of Paris.

In addition to his father, James was preceded in death by one grandson, Tyler Ritchie and one brother, Phillip Ritchie.
