Janet (Gabbard) Gross

Janet Gabbard Gross, 73, of Clay City, died Thursday afternoon, December 17, 2020 at St. Joseph, Mt. Sterling.  She was born in Jackson on September 22, 1947 to the late Frank Gabbard and Nancy Jett Brewer.

Janet has been a resident of Clay City for twelve years after moving from Breathitt County.  She was a former employee of Lion Apparel. She enjoyed; sewing, quilting, traveling, fishing and animals.  She was a wonderful cook and loved spending time with her great nieces and nephews.   She'll be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Janet is survived by her loving husband; Gary Gross; one daughter; Melana Gross of Clay City; two nieces; Shelly Spencer of Tennessee and Lorri Bartley (Chris) of Wellington; two great nieces; Paige Spencer and Hannah Bartley; three great nephews; Brent Bartley, Tyler Bartley and Elijah Spencer.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her grandparents; Morton Jett, Sr., and Mary Judd Jett; one sister;  Sharon Gabbard.
