Jeffery "Jeff" David Tipton

Jeffery "Jeff" David Tipton, 54, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, February 10, 2020 at his residence surrounded by family.  He was born on February 19, 1965 in Mt. Sterling to Bobby and Judy Purvis Tipton.

Jeff became a member of Rolling Hills Church of Christ two and a half years ago upon moving back to Mt. Sterling from Harrisburg, North Carolina.  He was a General Motors Certified Technician and owned and operated his own business.  Jeff was a fisherman by heart and had a larger than life personality that kept those around him constantly laughing. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, working on tractors and spending time with his family.  His friends and family will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his loving wife Kendra Middleton Tipton of Mt. Sterling; one son, Ben Tipton of Mt. Sterling; one granddaughter Emalynn Blaire Tipton of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Phil Tipton (Nancy) of Harrisburg, North Carolina; one niece, Emily Tipton of Harrisburg, North Carolina; one nephew, Chase Tipton of Harrisburg, North Carolina and several cousins and other extended family.

Funeral will be held Friday, February 14, 2020 at 11:00AM.  Visitation will be Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.  Both will be held at Rolling Hills Church of Christ.  Committal to follow funeral at Machpelah Cemetery.  Minister Kirk Sams will be officiating.

Pallbearers:  Jim Bob Sons, Kevin Tipton, Wade Moore, Keaton McCarty, Chase Tipton and Glenn Mapel.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Michael Issac, Mike Donaldson, Barry Blevins, Brent Blevins, Michael Tipton, Jamie Compton, Dutch Vollmer, Tommy Jackson and Denny Hawkins.
