Joe Evans McVey
February 24, 1941 — March 26, 2022
Joe Evans McVey, 81, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022, after a short illness. He was born to the late Ollie and Emmons McVey and is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy McVey; two sons, Jeff (Amy) McVey, Lexington, KY and Jason McVey, Mt. Sterling, KY; one grandson, Logan McVey, Columbia, SC; one sister, Nancy Davis, Mt. Sterling, KY; Three godchildren, Dillon, Jaden and Reagan Akers, Mt. Sterling, KY.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, William McVey, Floyd McVey, and two sisters, Lela Nickell, Betty Smith.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 9th at the First United Methodist Church, Mt. Sterling, KY. Visitation will occur prior to the celebration from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 846 Grassy Lick Rd, Mt Sterling, KY 40353.
