John Elkin Lisle, passed away at his residence on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on November 13, 1954, in Frenchburg, to the late Clyde and Grace Thomas Lisle. John was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County.

John dedicated himself to his work as a press operator at Vogelsang Corporation, where his strong work ethic and passion for manufacturing were evident. However, it was his creative spirit that truly set him apart. An avid music lover, John found joy in recording music and immersing himself in TV series. He also showcased his artistic talents by writing and illustrating a comic book, using his skillful hand to create memorable labels and designs.
 

John's love for the outdoors was reflected in his meticulous care for his lawn and his pride in nurturing a vegetable garden that brought him great satisfaction. A rock collector with a penchant for the beauty of nature, he enjoyed the quiet moments spent in reflection amidst the structure and order he so valued in his life.

John is survived by his siblings, Margie Richardson, Tom Lisle (Carol), Patti Tyra (Bill), Bobby Lisle (Mary), Doug Lisle (Renee), Larry Lisle (Susie), and Lynne Dennis (Danny); a host of nieces and nephews. He leaves behind memories that will be cherished by family and friends alike, who will remember his gentle demeanor and thoughtful approach to life.

Services to honor John will take place on Thursday, July 9, 2026. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at Coffman Funeral Home & Crematory, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Following the service, John's remains will be cremated.

In celebrating John's life, we remember a kind soul who found beauty in simplicity and whose impact will resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
