Johnnie Burton Gerald, 53, of Richmond, died Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Louisville on January 6, 1966 to the late Billy and Claribel Henry Gerald.
Johnnie was a member of Rice Station Christian Church and a lifelong resident of Richmond. He played baseball and basketball and graduated from Estill County High School in 1984. Johnnie worked as a carpenter and enjoyed watching western movies and television programs, playing video games, poker, pool and spending time with his friends and family. He will be missed dearly.
He is survived by one brother, Doug Gerald of Lexington; three sisters, Pam Gerald of Richmond, Brenda Epperson (Ken) of Shreveport, LA and Jayne Gerald of Richmond; nieces and nephews, Lil Doug and Aaron Gerald of Richmond, LaKeisha and KT Epperson of Shreveport, LA, Kiara and Anthony Gerald, Devon and Dustin Gerald, and Victoria Mullins (Jimmy) all of Richmond; great nieces and nephews, Jaela Smith and Zayden King both of Richmond, Kamani, Ka'Mya, Kendreu Epperson of Shreveport, LA, Kylo Mullins of Richmond, Austin Rose and Christian and Jace Gerald of Richmond and special friends, Tiffany King of Richmond, Georgia Cruse of Lexington and Lois Webster of Richmond.
In addition to his parents Johnnie was preceded in death by his two brothers, Micheal Gerald and Anthony Gerald and his sister Tammy Gerald.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 4:00PM. Visitation will be held from 2:00PM - 4:00PM. Both will take place at Rice Station Christian Church in Irvine. Minister Joe Hall will be officiating.
