Johnny Ray Whitaker

Johnny Ray Whitaker, 65, of Jeffersonville,  passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling.  He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on July 9, 1957 to the late Raymond and Ruth Manning Whitaker.

Johnny was a Montgomery County native and farmed tobacco.  He had a jokester personality and enjoyed family cookouts and fishing.  He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.

Johnny is survived by three sisters, Kay Dawson of Mt. Sterling, Shirley Sturgill of Winchester and Patsy Conley of Jeffersonville; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Chambers and Ronald Brooks.
