Judy Carol (Blevins) Barnard

Judy Carol Blevins Barnard, 63, of Lexington died on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.  She was born on October 6, 1955 in Pikeville to the late Alfred R. and Frances Ruark Blevins, Sr.

Judy graduated from Mt. Sterling High school in 1973, attended Midway College and pursued a career in financial services with Credit Bureau Systems.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling, seldom missed a Men's UK Basketball game and loved traveling.  Judy traveled to several countries in Europe and on one special occasion took a cruise to the Caribbean with her loving daughter Monica.  She had a free spirit and passionately loved her family and friends.  They will miss her dearly.

She is survived by one son, William Barnard of Lexington; one daughter, Monica Renee Gilvin (William Boyd Smathers) of Mt. Sterling; one brother Alfred Blevins ( Granetta) of Mt. Sterling; two sisters Linda Spencer (J.T.) of Mt. Sterling and Patty Wood (Garry) of Hendersonville, NC; a special friend, Pam Sorrell Moore of Mt. Sterling and numerous nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents Judy was preceded in death by one sister Anita Gail Blevins.
