It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Julie Dean Holt Barrett Wright, who left this world on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the age of 74. Born in Middletown, Ohio, to the late Edward and Marie Holt. Julie moved to Mt. Sterling, just one year ago from Franklin, Ohio, where she made her home and left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Julie was a devoted homemaker, embodying grace and warmth in every aspect of her life. Her strong Christian Pentecostal faith guided her, and she found great joy in writing and singing songs about Jesus, sharing her love of music as a reflection of her spirit. Known for her culinary prowess, Julie never hesitated to invite family and friends to gather around her table, where laughter and love were abundant. She was an excellent cook, and her home was a sanctuary where memories were made over delicious meals and heartfelt conversations.
In addition to her passion for cooking, Julie enjoyed crafting and playing Yahtzee, often spending hours immersed in these joyful activities. Her favorite colors, pink and blue, seemed to radiate the vibrancy she brought to the lives of those around her.
Julie is survived by her children, Gina Frasher Allen (Jeff), Mindy Froman (Stan), Christina Barrett, Marcus Barrett (Connie), and Randy Barrett; grandchildren, Eric Taulbee Tasha), Brittaney Taulbee, Lora Weaver (Adam), Jordan Barrett, Destiny Barrett, Kyanne Jenkins, Gage Jenkins, Tristan Barrett, Christian Barrett, Raegan Barrett, Caiden Barrett, Kristain Boxwell, Brittanie Denry, Danielle Carter, Joselynne Miller, and Dalton Miller (Keri); numerous great. Her gentle spirit and unwavering devotion to her family will be profoundly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
In addition to her late parents, Julie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Wright and sister, Shirley Shepherd.
