Junior Brewer

November 12, 1948 — November 3, 2017

Junior Brewer, 68, of Mt. Sterling, died Friday morning, November 3, 2017 at his residence.  He was born November 12, 1948 in Mt. Sterling to the late Leslie Sr. and Ruth Nickells Brewer.

Junior was a Montgomery County native, retired from Kerns Bread and a member of the Heritage Christian Church.  Junior loved sports and was a coach for numerous years in the recreation league.  He enjoyed; UK basketball, yard work, drag racing and most of all, spending time with his family.  He will be dearly missed by his family, church family and friends.

Survivors include; his beloved wife of forty-eight years, Joyce Stephens Brewer of Mt. Sterling; three daughters, Tara Nickell (Kevin Elliott), Leigha Ritchie and Leslie Strange (Matt), all of Mt. Sterling; seven grandchildren, Brittany Trent, Maddison Childress, Morgan Childress, Justin Jude, Hannah Elliott, Lucas Ritchie and Sawyer Strange, all of Mt. Sterling; two great grandchildren, Grayson Trent and Ella Rose Trent, both Mt. Sterling; one brother, Randall Brewer (Wilma) of Mt. Sterling; four sisters, Ella Mae Corey (Charles), Bonnie Barnett, Darlene Brewer and Donna Pendleton, all of Mt. Sterling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Brewer and one great grandchild, Baylee Grace.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Heritage Christian Church Building Fund, 402 Commerce Circle, Mt. Sterling, KY. 40353.

Funeral will be Tuesday, November 7 at 7:00PM.  Visitation will be prior from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, services at Heritage Christian Church.  Pastor Chris Shaw will be officiating.
