Karen Irene Wright Hollifield

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Karen Irene Wright Hollifield, who left us on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on March 6, 1953, to the late Walter and Eugenia Faulkner Wright in Morgantown, West Virginia. Karen moved to Kentucky 25 years ago, where she made a lasting impact on her community and those who knew her.

Karen was a dedicated respiratory therapist and phlebotomist, spending many years serving patients in various hospitals. Her compassionate nature and unwavering commitment to her work were hallmarks of her life. In addition to her professional endeavors, Karen was known for her vibrant personality; she often brought laughter to those around her with her infectious sense of humor. She enjoyed playing video games, watching movies, and was an avid cook. Her love for her pets-numerous dogs and cats throughout her life-was a testament to her nurturing spirit.

She is survived by her beloved son, John Hollifield (Jessica); grandson, Logan Hollifield; brother, Jim Tennant; sister, Loise Tennant.
