Kathleen Marilyn (Drys) Garrett

Kathleen Marilyn Garrett, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on November 10, 2023, at her residence in Jeffersonville, KY. Born on July 10, 1949, in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Sherley (Crook) Drys.

Kathleen was a woman of strength and compassion, who touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. With a warm smile and gentle demeanor, she created a comforting presence that will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.

Throughout her career in management, particularly in the retail industry, Kathleen brought her strong work ethic and dedication to her position at JoAnn Fabrics. She was highly regarded by her colleagues and cherished the friendships she made along the way.

Besides her professional achievements, Kathleen found her greatest joy in her family. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband Joseph Garrett III and a caring mother to her son Thomas Garrett (Heather) of Springboro, Ohio and daughter Michelle Garrett of Tuscan Arizona. Kathleen was also blessed with the presence of her adoring grandchildren, Kyle Garrett and Brielle Garrett, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She treasured every moment spent with her family, creating countless cherished memories that will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

In her spare time, Kathleen enjoyed arts and crafts projects, which allowed her creativity to shine. She skillfully created beautiful pieces that adorned her home and served as a testament to her artistic talents. She also took great pleasure in gardening, nurturing the vibrant flowers and plants that added color and life to her surroundings.

In celebration of her life, a memorial service will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory.
