Kenneth B. Donaldson

Kenneth B. Donaldson, 90, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday, May 25, 2014, at his residence. He was born June 3, 1923 in Bath County to the late John T. and Alice Tipton Donaldson.

Kenneth was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, a devoted member of Rolling Hills Church of Christ and a retired farmer. He was a member of Cattleman's Association, a prior member of Southern States Board and formerly served as Deacon at Queen Street Church of Christ. He was awarded Soil Conservationist of the Year and Honorary Chapter Farmer of Montgomery County FFA. Kenneth was an avid collector of arrowheads, and had a passion for hunting, fishing and taking walks on the beach while vacationing in Florida.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Virginia Turley Donaldson of Mt. Sterling; son, David A. Donaldson (Jamie) of Mt. Sterling; grandson, Kenneth Zachary Donaldson of Irving, Texas; two brothers, Woodford "Woodie" Donaldson (Penny) and Larry Donaldson (Phyllis) both of Mt. Sterling; one sister, Florence Donaldson Smoot (Jimmy) of Mt. Sterling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Donaldson, Cecil Donaldson and George Donaldson.
