Lloyd Tiebout Steinmetz, Jr., 94, of Mt. Sterling, died Tuesday evening, September 26, 2017 at UK Medical Center. He was born July 12, 1923 in Great Falls, New Jersey to the late Lloyd Sr. and Anna Hinnes Steinmetz.
Lloyd was a WWII Navy veteran on the Battleship New Jersey, graduate from the University of Alabama as an electrical engineer and retired as a sales manager for Westinghouse in the small motors division. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; his beloved wife Libby Ramsey Steinmetz of Mt. Sterling; one son, Tom Steinmetz of Mt. Sterling; four grandchildren, Shannon McIlhargey (Michael) of Ft. Myers, Chadwick Steinmetz of Los Angeles, California, L.E. Steinmetz (Shelly) of Dallas, Texas and Tom Steinmetz of Austin, Texas; two great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be Friday, September 29, 2017 at 10:00AM at Machpelah Cemetery. Pastor Gist Howell will be officiating.
