Mamie Lou (Link) Coffey

December 6, 1948 — March 4, 2022

Mamie Lou Link Coffey, 73, of Frenchburg, passed away Friday morning, March 4, 2022, at UK Medical Center. She was born in Salt Lick, Kentucky on December 6, 1948, to Marvin Owen Link and E. Louise Donathan Whirley.

Mamie moved to Frenchburg thirty-two years ago from St. Cloud, Florida. She is a member and very active of Dayspring Church Alive. Mamie enjoyed; gardening, canning, baking, traveling, family dinners and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family, church family and friends.

Mamie is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-six and half years, Robert Coffey of Frenchburg; three sons, Robert "Bobby" Coffey (Tanya), Randy Coffey (Wendy) and Rodney Coffey (Elizabeth) all of Frenchburg; five grandchildren, Tyler Coffey (Amanda Miller), Colton Coffey (Mandolyn), Casey Trusty (Allen), LaRanda Ballard (Jeremy), all of Frenchburg and Waylan Coffey of Lexington; ten great grandchildren, Aiden Coffey, Amelia Coffey, Peyton Trusty, Kaelynn Trusty, Owen Trusty, Christian Ballard, Jaxson Ballard, Aaliyah Ballard, Nova Coffey and Eden Coffey, all of Frenchburg; her mother, E. Louise Whirley of Richmond, Indiana; one brother Billy Link of South Carolina; two sisters, Missy Daniel and Carol Link, both of South Carolina.

Mamie is preceded in death by her father, Marvin Owen Link and two brothers, Mike Link and Mark Link.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Dayspring Church Alive in Frenchburg. Visitation will be prior from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Committal will follow at the Coffey Cemetery. Reverend Religh Coffey and Reverend Steve Green will be officiating.

Pallbearers: Bobby Coffey, Randy Coffey, Rodney Coffey, Tyler Coffey, Colton Coffey and Waylan Coffey.

Honorary Pallbearers: Bill Tincher, Dave Burden, Scott Beverly, Allen Trusty, Jeremy Ballard and Jeff Overkash.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Dayspring Church Alive, 1517 Main Street, Frenchburg, Kentucky 40322.
