Mary Barbara Aines, a cherished member of the Wellington community, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on February 14, 1941, in Morehead, Kentucky, to the late John and Mary Gruner Milton.  Barbara was a woman of exceptional talent and versatility. 

Educated with an Associate's Degree, Barbara pursued a career as a legal assistant at the prestigious Caliage & Handleman Law Office. Known for her unparalleled skills in preparing bankruptcy and probate documents, Barbara's dedication and diligence were instrumental in the success of the firm. Her colleagues often marveled at her ability to effortlessly manage complex legal tasks, making her an invaluable asset to the team.

Beyond her professional achievements, Barbara was a true renaissance woman. Her love for nature led her to spend cherished moments on her houseboat, where she found solace and tranquility. A master of various artistic crafts, Barbara could spin, weave, crochet, and even ran her own ceramics shop, where her creations brought joy to many. Her passion for animals, traveling, and exploring new horizons showcased her adventurous spirit and zest for life.

Barbara's impact extended beyond her professional and creative endeavors. She was a devoted wife to Randell Aines of 38 years, loving mother to Buddy Clay (Emily), Cindi Clay, Robin Fisher (Paul), and Stephen Clay, and a doting grandmother to Zoe Clay, and step-son, Gregory Aines. Her family was the center of her universe, and her warmth and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In honoring Barbara's wishes, cremation has been chosen. A celebration of her remarkable life and legacy will be announced at a later date, allowing friends and family to come together and pay tribute to a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many.

Mary Barbara Aines will forever be remembered for her kindness, ingenuity, and unwavering spirit. Her presence in our lives will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
