Maurice Gary Thomas

Maurice Gary Thomas, 77, of Mt. Sterling, died Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at VA Hospital in Lexington.  He was born on March 5, 1942 to the late Albert and Irene Lazar Thomas.

Maurice moved to Montgomery County twenty-two years ago from Middletown, OH and worked as a cable installation specialist.  He was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed woodworking, working on vehicles and spending time with his family.  Maurice will be dearly missed.

He is survived by two sons Matthew Spencer (Charlotte) of Mt. Sterling and A.J. Thomas of OH; one daughter Christina Wells (Davy) of Mt. Sterling; three brothers Keith Thomas (Cathy) of Eagle Lake, MN, Larry Thomas (Kathy) of St. Louis, MO and Wayne Thomas of St. James, MN; two sisters Janette Rathman (Raymond) of St. James, MN and Lorraine Beussman (Gene) of Amboy, MN.

In addition to his parents Albert and Irene, Maurice was preceded in death by two sister-in-laws Janet Thomas and Marilyn Thomas and one brother William Thomas.

There will be a Memorial Service held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 11:00AM at Botts Christian Church in Denniston.  Pastor Rick Back will be officiating.
