Mayme Lee (Thompson) Myers

Mayme Lee Thompson Myers, 85, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, December 18, 2017 at the Windsor Care Center.  She was born April 13, 1932 in Montgomery County to the late Jack and Maggie Thompson.

Mayme was a Montgomery County native and was of the Christian faith.  She enjoyed; flower gardening, cooking, canning, yard sales, collecting baby dolls and most of all, spending time with her family.  She'll be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include; two sons, Jess Myers, Jr. (Betty) of Bath County and James Myers (Anita) of Powell County; two daughters, Linda Myers Ginter of Mt. Sterling and Patricia Myers Tackitt (Dale) of Frenchburg; one brother, Steve Thompson of Mt. Sterling; four sisters, Barbara Dotson (Kenneth) of Montgomery County, Shirley Pugh of Fleming County, Elizabeth Treadway (Paul) of Mt. Sterling and Jackie Chastian of Lexington; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jess Myers, Sr.; two brothers, Francis Thompson and Richard Thompson; four sisters, Mary Thompson, Nancy Henry, Margaret Thompson and Betty Browning.

Funeral will be Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 1:00PM at Macedonia Baptist Church. Visitation will be prior from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Burial will follow at the Machpelah Cemetery. Pastor Jim Skidmore will be officiating.

Pallbearers: Adam Myers, Joseph Myers, Lucas Myers, Matthew Myers, Kevin Fouch, Anthony Spencer and Casey Myers.

Honorary Pallbearers: Sandy Jones, Christy Collier, Jamie Collier, Jessica Fouch and Aleesa Kimbrell.
