Michael Dean Ballard

November 14, 1968 — May 6, 2014

Michael Dean Ballard, 45, of Frenchburg, passed away Tuesday evening, May 6, 2014 at UK Medical Center. Born November 14, 1968 in Oldham County, he was the son of Joyce Gorman and Clester Brown and the late Freddie Ballard.

Michael was a lifelong resident of Menifee County and a member of Means Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, hunting, camping, and was an avid mushroom and turtle hunter. He liked to whittle and had a talent for making walking canes. Most will remember Michael for his big-hearted personality. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include; his mother Joyce Brown (Clester) of Frenchburg; four brothers, Alan Heitzman (Teresa) of Frenchburg, Gary Ballard of Mt. Sterling, Jason Brown (Jennifer) of Frenchburg, and Nathan Brown (Shannon) of Winchester; five sisters, Janice Elliott (Jim) of Mt. Sterling, Julia Hensley (Mike) of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Jayne Allen (Bobby) of Inez, Vicki Crawford (David) of Georgetown, and Becky Kreiner (Leonard) of Reading, Ohio; special nephew, Tony Ballard of Reading, Ohio; a host of special nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Clester Brown, Jr.

Pallbearers: Jim Elliott, Bobby Allen, David Crawford, Mike Hensley, Roger Moore, John Hale, Jason Brown, Todd Ingram.

Honorary Pallbearers: Nieces and Nephews.
