Michael "Mick" Albert Mercuri

Michael "Mick" Albert Mercuri, 78, of Lexington, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at St. Joseph East Hospital, Lexington surrounded by his loving family.  He was born June 13, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Michael Mercuri.

Mick was a resident of Fayette County for twenty-three years following his move from Dayton, Ohio.  He was of the Christian faith and a retired mechanical engineer.  Mick was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed; camping, boating, motorcycles and cooking.  He loved his family and will be dearly missed by each one.

Mick is survived by his loving and devoted wife; Mary Cassidy Mercuri of Lexington; two sons; Mac Thompson (Christy) and Chris Thompson (Sharon), both of Mt. Sterling; two daughters; Michele Mercuri and Melissa Mercuri, both of Dayton, Ohio; four grandchildren; Kyle Thompson (Haley), Blaine Thompson, Josh Thompson (Hannah) and Bricen Thompson; three great grandchildren; Colton Thompson, Ellorie Mae Thompson and Aiden Hisel; two sister-in-laws; Cynthia Benham and Nancy Cassidy; special friends; Dr. Sharz Inayat, Travis and Jalene Cagle and Zach and Rachel Johnson.
