Minnie Dee Gilvin

Minnie Dee Gilvin, was born on April 13, 1938, to the late Seth Sr. and Lillie Willoughby Gilvin. Left this world peacefully at the Robertson County Healthcare Facility on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the age of 87. Minnie was known for her gentle spirit and profound appreciation for the beauty of nature, particularly her passion for bird watching. Her affinity for the natural world reflected her deep-rooted Christian beliefs, as she often found solace in the simplicity and wonder of life around her.

Despite facing challenges throughout her life that kept her from participating in traditional work, Minnie's resilience and kindness left a lasting impact on those who knew her. She approached life with grace, drawing strength from her faith and the beauty of the world outside her window.

Minnie is survived by her beloved brother, Seth Gilvin (Susan), who cherished her deeply. Together, they shared memories of laughter and love that will be carried on in the hearts of their family. Niece, Megan Gilvin-Hurst (Glen) and great nephews, Arlo Hurst and Silas Hurst; great niece, Esmeralda Hurst.

In addition to her late parents, Minnie is preceded in death by her sister, Betty Stacy.

A graveside service to honor Minnie will take place on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Crown Hill Cemetery in Sharpsburg, Kentucky. Friends and family are invited to gather as they reflect on Minnie's life, celebrate her spirit, and find comfort in their shared memories. Pastor Bill Kilgore will be officiating.

As we bid farewell to a gentle soul who found joy in the simplest of things, we are reminded of the beauty she saw in nature and the love she gave so freely. She will be missed dearly, but her memory will forever remain a part of the lives she touched.
