Nora Lawill Harvey Buckland, 66, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday morning, May 25, 2014 at her residence. She was born January 1, 1948 in Mt. Sterling to the late John David Harvey and Pearl Lawill.
Nora was a lifetime resident of Montgomery County and a member of Fellowship Tabernacle in Sharpsburg. She will be remembered for her big heart and being a woman of her word. Her true love in life was her family; watching her grandbabies and being a wonderful mother to her six children was her true passion.
Survivors include; four sons, Bobby "Bob" Ray Scott (Frances) of Winchester, Stephen Michael Buckland of Lexington, Tony Lee Scott (Carrie) of Georgetown, and Michael Wayne Scott of Mt. Sterling; two daughters, Sandra Lynn Hopkins (Bobby) and Jeanie Michelle Scott Kocher (George) both of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Tommy Harvey of Mt. Sterling; three sisters, Barbara Edie (Thomas), Ruby Jewell Pitts and Debbie Goodpaster all of Mt. Sterling; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Rousey Buckland; five brothers, Carl Harvey, Charles Harvey, Ray Harvey, Bobby Harvey, and Cecil Lawill; two sisters, Carolyn Sue Harvey and Bonnie Lou Little.
Pallbearers: Randy Chandler, John Scott, Branson Scott, Stephen Scott, Marcus Halcomb, Danny Colemire, Dillon Colemire, and Bobby Hopkins.
Honorary Pallbearers: George Kocher, David Strange, Richard Otis and Johnny Shane Goodpaster.
